Father was George Lindeman, born in Eisenach, Hesse, Germany; immigrated in 1853; and died about 1854 in Hazleton, Luzerne County, PA.

George Lindeman, 85, well known resident of Cass Co for three score years and a native of Germany, died at midnight last night (Thursday Nov 23, 1933) at the country home of his son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs G B McFadden, 11 miles south of Atlantic on U S Highway no 71. Mr Lindeman had been in failing health for many months and was bedfast several weeks prior to his death.

Mr Lindeman was born near Hesse Cassell Germany, on Feb 26 1848, being a son of the late George and Sophia Lindeman. He came to the US from Germany with his parents in 1853 and settled at Hazelton, PA., where he was united in marriage to Miss Martha Kreitzberg on March 12, 1870. Mr and Mrs Lindeman came to Cass County in the spring of 1873 and had resided in the Atlantic, Griswold and Cumberland communities until their respective deaths. Mrs. Lindeman died on February 9, 1894. Three sons, Benjamin, Robert and Fred, preceded them in death.

Surviving are seven children, Mrs McFadden; at whose home he died; Mrs F L Buckley of Vancouver BC; Mrs W W Joner and Charles Lindeman of Pocahontas, IA; Mrs G R Marsh of Ormsby, Mn; Calvin Lindeman of Griswold & Lewis Lindeman of Cumberland; twenty six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a brother Conrad Lindeman of Crawford Ne; a half brother Adam Abhau of Atlantic and two half sisters, Mrs Charles Kuester of Griswold and Mrs Detlef Martens of Canada.

Funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday aft at the Roland, Peacock & Baxter Funeral home here and interment is to be in the Weirich Cemetery in Noble township.
