Edna angen was born in Garfield, Minnesota, on July 131, 1903, the daughter of Andrew and Ella (Holmberg) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed and grew to womanhood int he Alexandria area. She was united in marriage to Clifford Angen. They were married for 67 years. The couple lived in the Alexandria area their entire married lives. Edna enjoyed baking, cooking, and sewing. She was an active member of Calvary Lutheran church.
Edna died April 5, 1990, at her home at the Bethel Manor Apartments in Alexandria at the age of 86 years.
Edna is survived by husband: Clifford Angen of Alexandria; son: Harland Angen of Alexandria; daughters: Vivian Godfrey of Alexandria; Doris Johnson of Clearwater, FL; Lucille Antell of Redding, CA; Norma Schlein of Northridge, CA; brothers: Harold W. Anderson of Alexandria; Walter H. Anderson of Alexandria; sisters: Myrtle Bergeron of Camas, and Hazel Peterson of Alexandria. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Clifford and Elmer.
Funeral services were April 10, 1990 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Alexandria, Minnesota with Rev. Keith Forrester officiating. Interment was in Lake Geneva Cemetery, Alexandria, Minnesota. Pallbearers were James Antell, Tom Antell, Jarmon Godfrey, Jr., Marc Godfrey, Keith Godfrey, Scott Angen, Jeff Johnson, Carl Nyberg and Dave Anderson. Arrangements with Anderson Funeral home.
