Cathrine Moye was married to Guilford Harris. Her first name appears as "Cathrine" on her marker and "Age 80." Her nickname per some censuses was "Callie."

Tried to find Guilford and Catherine in the 1840 Pitt County Census to no avail. They show as of 1850. Catherine and Guilford had 6 children by the 1860 Census: Ann Mariah, Absley, Mary Frances, Catharine ("Kate"), and twins John Robert and Laura J.

Catherine and Guilford were buried in Jackson Cemetery because their daughters Absley and Laura respectively married 2 Jackson brothers.

At my request, the Pitt County Family Research group attempted to find more information on Catherine. Her parents are unknown. No mother's name, but a relation may have been Gideon Moye since she lived in his area in the 1850 Census. She claimed she was an heir of a John Leslie. (Pitt County Deed Book N N, p. 232).

Guilford outlived Callie. He was on the 1890 Census, age 91, living with his spinster daughter Ann Mariah. The latter is seen on the 1920 Census living with her brother John Robert, and on the 1930 Census, age 90, living with John's widow. I can't find a burial location for Ann Mariah.

Here is Catherine's obituary:
