James K. Alloway of Three Springs, R. D., died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday morning, February 28, 1965, He had been in failing health for two years.

The deceased was born in Clay Township on December 30, 1887, a son of William and Katherine (McClain) Alloway. He was united in marriage in 1924 to Coral Price of Three Springs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by these brothers and sister: Samuel Alloway and Mrs. Bertha Heeter of Robertsdale, R.D.; Daniel K. Alloway, Three Springs, and Mack C. Aloway, McConnellsburg.

He was of the Protestant faith.

During World war I he served overseas with the U.S. armed forces. He was a member of Madden-Wennick Post No. 518, Orbisonia, and he also belonged to the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 223, Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 3, at 2 p.m. at the Bethel Church of New Grenada. The Rev. James Willims of Three Springs Methodist Charge and the Rev. Paul Bell of Brisbin will officiate and interment will be made in the Bethel Cemetery at New Grenada. Friends will be received at the Ott funeral home in Orbisonia after 7 p.m. this Monday and until 11 a.m. Wednesday and at the church from 12 noon Wednesday until the hour for the services. Military honors will be accorded the deceased at graveside services to be conducted y the Maddenn-Wennick American Legion Post.
