PILOT POINT WOMAN LEAVES 156 DESCENDANTS

PILOT POINT, TEXAS, July 22 -- Funeral services were held Wednesday for Mrs. Elizabeth[sic] Ann Massey, 94, who left 156 direct descendants. Mrs. Massey died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. G. Alexander, north of here. Burial was in Elmo.

A native of Meggs County, Tenn., Mrs. Massey was born Dec. 13, 1853, and was married to Wesley Massey in 1867 in Tennessee. They came to Texas in 1880. Massey died in 1908. She made her home in the Pilot Point vicinity thirty-two years.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. C. James of Denton and Mrs. Alexander; four sons, Sam Massey of San Antonio, Dave Massey of Bulter, Mo., and L. T. Massey and Charles Massey of Valley View, and 150 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Other children:
Newt and Wesley Allen, Jr.
She also was mother to James, her husband's child

Her mother is Rebecca McDaniel Lemons buried in Meigs County, Tennessee in an unmarked grave.
