He was united in marriage to Vernice Vivian Linnea Anderson on February 14, 1936 in Montgomery County, Iowa. He was raised and lived all his life in the Red Oak community. They farmed south of Red Oak and in 1973 moved into town. He was a member of the Fremont Lutheran Church at Nyman Church at Nyman, Iowa and Red Oak Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife on August 19, 1961, and a brother, Roy.
Raymond is survived by 2 daughters, Kathryn, Mrs. George Anstey and Dian Carlson both of Omaha, Nebraska, a sister, Doris, Mrs. Carroll Peterson of Red Oak, Iowa; 2 brothers, Lester Pearson and Earl Pearson both of Red Oak, Iowa; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also other relatives and many friends.
