FRIDAY, JUNE 24, 1904
Mrs. W. H. Webber and her sister, Mrs. T. B. Kemp, now visiting here received the sad news this morning that their sister Miss Mary Deacon Tate, had died at Amite City, Louisiana. Miss Tate was one of the most popular women of that state, and the district court wehich was insession at the time of her death, adjourned for her funeral, the judge and members attending in a body. The funeral service was conducted by Bishop Parker.
