Died Nov. 4, at the residence of her son, South Fifth street, Mrs. Armenella Chaffee, aged 85 years, 2 months and 25 days. The deceased was born in Baltimore, Md. She came to Illinois in 1836 with her father, and had since resided in the state. She moved to this city thirty-two years ago.
Mrs. Chaffee is the last of a family of nine children. Her husband, Orrin Chaffee, died four years ago. She is survived by two sons, L. A. , and R. S. Chaffee, both residing in this city.
The funeral will occur at the residence of her son. The interment will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.
