Ida was the 4th of Amaziah & Sarah Sparks 11 children.

July 2, 1870, Ida B. Sparks, age 2, born in OR, lived with her parents, A. & Sarah A. Sparks, ages 38 & 28, in Surprise Valley, Siskiyou Co, CA. Her siblings were Rebecca E., 6 & Emma F, 4, born in KS.

Her father's children from his first marriage (her half-brothers & sister), lived with them: John Wm., age 15; Thomas R., 13; & Sarah J., 9, all born in KS.

Ida married Fred Bold in Klickitat Co, WA on August 5, 1888. Their ceremony was performed by the pastor or M.E. Church, Rev. John Uren, of Goldendale.Their witnesses were J.F. Ushelman & Mariette Bold (Fred's sister-in-law).

Fred's parents, James & Lydia Bold, had immigrated from England to Wisconsin where Fred & his siblings were born. Fred & his older brother, Henry, ventured to the West where he met Ida.

Ida's sister, Emma Rebecca Smith, died in Centerville on September 29, 1892. Her death was shown as "cause unknown."

On June 14, 1900, Fred & Ida, ages 42 & 34, were renting a farm in Centerville, Klickitat Co, WA, where Fred had a blacksmith business. They had been married 10 years; Ida had given birth to five children but only two were living, Kenneth & Beulah, ages 9 (June 1892) & 3 (July 1896).

Ida died in Centerville on May 8, 1905.
