BAXTER Funeral services for Loy Maddux, 90, of Baxter, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, from the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today, April 14, and from 9 a.m. until time of services
Saturday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Maddux died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, in NHC Healthcare in Cookeville.
She was born Feb. 6, 1916, in Putnam County to the late Robert Lee and Martha Diane Julian Autrey. Mrs. Maddux was a homemaker and a member of Baxter Church of Christ.
Her family includes two daughters and sonsinlaw, Virginia Ruth and Randy Carr of Baxter and Verda Dell and Rick Warta of Baxter; a son and daughterinlaw, Harold and Ann Maddux of Mt. Juliet; a brother, Barney Autrey of Baxter; a sister, Oshie Phillips of Cookeville; numerous nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren;
and four great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maddux; a brother, Cosby Williams; four sisters, Florida Autrey, Lillie Mae Beasley, Eula V. Craun and Verda Dell Thomas.
