Mrs. Iona Massey
Homer, GA. - Mrs. Iona Peyton Massey,84, of Route 1, widow of George D. Massey, died Tuesday at her home.

Born in Banks County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Nancy Jordan Peyton and was a member of Line Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, Hubert Massey of Lilburn, Edward Massey of Homer, daughters, Mrs. Mae Jones and Mrs. Esther Green of Gastonia NC, Mrs. Reba Turner of Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Myrtle Crenshaw of Columbus, Mrs. Mamie White of Athens, Mrs. Vernelle Hix of Jefferson, Mrs. Flois Duckett of Demorest, Mrs. Betty Meeks of Lula; brothers, W.R. Peyton of Homer, Hollis Peyton of Port Huron, Mich, sister, Mrs. J.T. Brock of Homer, 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Services at 4 pm Wednesday at Line Baptist Church by the Revs. Pledger Dodd and Wayne Strickland. Burial in the Church Cemetery.

The body is at Mcahee-Griffin funeral home, cornelia, and will be placed in the church at 3:30pm Wednesday. The family is at the home.
