George Frauen, 76, residing three and half miles north of Walcott, la., died suddenly at 6 o'clock this morning from an attack of angina pectoris of the heart. He awoke at 5 o'clock this morning and complained of pains in his chest and with his son, John Frauen hurried to Walcott for medical attention. He died an hour later in the office of Dr. Henry Schumacher. Coroner C. D. Cantwell was called and pronounced the cause of death.
Mr. Frauen was born in St. Louis. Mo., on Feb 22, 1852. When a year old he moved to Scott county with his parents and has resided here since. He has been engaged in farming his entire life. His first wife preceded him in death and again married in 1895 at Davenport to Miss Henrietta Helleman. He was a member of Scott Lodge, I. O. O. F.
Surviving besides the widow are 15 children: Edward of Kennewick, Wash.; Chris, Lake Park, la.; George. Jr., Davenport; Henry and Louis, Donahue; John, Hugo, William, Herbert and Leonard, all of Walcott, la.; Mrs. Louis Runge and Mrs. Charles Boll, both of Dixon, la.; Mrs. Louis Fisher, Davenport; Mrs. Arthur Sample, Chicago, and Mrs. Hobert Freiburghouse of Bramerton, Wash.
The body was removed to the Runge mortuary. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Funeral rites for George Frauen will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the late home, three and a half miles north of Walcott. The Rev. Fred Rolf will officiate. Burial will be made at the Maysville cemetery. The body will be returned to the home from the Runge mortuary at 10 o’clock this morning.
