ASBE FUNERAL HELD THURSDAY
Pneumonia Victim Buried at Kanawha;
Wife, Two Children Survive
Clear Lake, Dec. 13-The Rev. H.O. Urness, pastor of the Zion English Lutheran church, conducted funeral services for Henry H. Asbe, farmer who died following a short illness with pneumonia. The services were held at 12 o'clock and the body was taken to Kanawha for burial.
Henry H. Asbe was born Jan. 25, 1897 in Norway township, Wright county, Iowa and died at the Mercy Hospital, Mason City, Monday morning at the age of 32 years. He was married May 29, 1918 to Anna Sampson. Mr. Asbe resided in Worth county until four years ago when he moved on a farm south of Clear Lake where he has since lived.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; his daughter Lorraine, age 10, and his son Howard, age 7; his father, Tom Asbe; four sisters, Mrs. J.E. Kalvig, Kanawha; Mrs. E.H. Kalvig of Forest City;; Mrs. Thom Lundy of Kanawha; Miss Louise Asbe of Forest City. His mother and one brother preceded him in death. There are also a large number of other relatives.
The sudden death of Mr. Asbe was a severe shock to his relatives and friends as he had not been ill very long. His sickness took a turn for the worse on Saturday, Dec. 7, and it was decided to remove him to the hospital.
