DANA, Col. Henry, retired from the U.S. Air Force, 86, died February 12, 2007. Col. Dana was born in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. He entered the U.S. Air Force in April 1942, serving for 30 years until his retirement in 1972. He served as a combat navigator/bombardier in World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam and the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a graduate of the Air War College and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Tampa. Following retirement he was selected by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office to be director of fiscal services. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Gibsonton, and the Scottish Rite Temple of Tampa. He relocated to Brevard County in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Jean Kushmer Dana, and daughter, Melinda Tribe (John).
