Reba Lee Shamblin, 82, of Cross Lanes went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 12, 2006, in Thomas Memorial Hospital. She was born April 29, 1924, in Paradise. She lived in Dunbar and raised five daughters before moving to Cross Lanes in 1965. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a Christian. She was a member of the Dunbar Church of the Nazarene and Tyler Heights Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents, Farley and Tennessee Douglas; brothers, Charles "Bud" Douglas and Harless Douglas; son-in-law, Joey Scarberry; grandson, Kenneth Shawver; great-grandsons, Richard Beary and Anthony Curry. Surviving: husband of 65 years, Otmer L. Shamblin; daughters, Jean Beary of Nitro, Vivian Knight of Cross Lanes, Patsy Honaker and husband, Richard, of Alum Creek, Rebecca Marlowe of Charleston and Penny Patton and husband, Doug, of Poca; sisters, Arvilla France and husband, Chester, of Cross Lanes, Lillian Honaker of Connecticut, Delores McNealy and husband, Dennis, of Nitro; brothers, David "Gilbert" Douglas and wife, Vicky, of Massachusetts; 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
