BANCROFT- Harless D. Douglas, 55, of Bancroft, Putnum County, died Saturday in Kanawha Valley Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was a former employee of the city of Nitro.
Surviving: wife, Violet L.; daughter, Carol Ann Harper of Bancroft; son, Robert Wayne at home; sisters, Mrs. Reba Shamblin of Cross Lanes, Mrs. Arvilla France of Charleston, Mrs. Lillian Honaker of Middleton Conn., Mrs. Delores McNeely of Nitro; brother, David G. with the Air Force in California; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Farley Douglas of Charleston; three grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday in Gatens Funeral Home, Poca, with the Rev. Keith Hostetler officiating. Burial will be in Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens, Red House. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
