Molly's only maternal Uncle, Eric Cheesman, had perished in the Gillingham Park Fete Tragedy of 1929. Eric was burned to death in a fire fighting demonstration which had gone horrifically wrong. Hillary's mother, then 6 years old was a witness to Eric's fate that night. Her grandmother, Elizabeth was also present that night.
