He attended Mobeck School. He was confirmed in Kost Church where, on March 25, 1939, he also married Helen Collins. They farmed up until one year ago. He also did custom farming. He worked for the Chisago County Highway Department.
Morris loved the outdoors, either working, playing, cutting trees, fishing or hunting.
He is survived by his wife and by son Wylie of Golden Valley, daughter Judy of West Salem, WI; grandchildren Jeff and Keith; brother Gerald (Carol) Anderson of North Branch; sisters Ethel Love of Saskatchewan, Canada, Lou Jackson of Shafer, Lauraine (Ted) Noreen of Chisago City, Gloria Wilcox of Minneapolis; brother-in-law Fillmore Lindberg of Lindstrom, sister-in-law Ann Anderson of Lindstrom; nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death of brother Eddie; sisters Evelyn Stone and Doris Lindberg; daughter-in-law Donna Anderson; also by numerous moose, whitetail deer, geese, grouse, ducks, salmon, walleyes and sunfish.
Funeral services were Nov. 29 at Kost Ev. Free Church. Interment was in the Kost Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch.
