He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dorothy W. Deuel; a son, David L. Deuel and his wife Dee of Norfolk; daughters, Sheryl A. Legere and her husband Al of Chesapeake and Christi Tabor and her husband Billy of Norfolk; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach. A celebration of Fred's life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 5350 Providence Road, Virginia Beach, with Pastor Mark Nieting officiating.
