Kenneth R. Bane, 64, of Muncie, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 03, 2010.

He was born May 12, 1946 in Rushville, the son of Jesse Bane and Katherine (Copple) Alford. Kenneth married the love of his life, Chang (Chong) Bane, July 28, 1967.

Mr. Bane attended Rushville city schools. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, having been in Korea. Mr. Bane owned and operated Bane Tours Charter Bus since 1996. Kenneth enjoyed serving people, especially on his tour groups. It was said that he would sacrifice his own well being to make sure others were well taken care of. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, and grandfather. His grandchildren were his life!

He is survived by his wife, Chang Bane of Muncie; daughter, April Hassenzahl (husband, Roger) of Muncie; son, Brian Bane (fiancé, Samantha Osterbrock) of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Zachary, Emma and Carson Bane, all of Cincinnati, and Nichole and Nicholas Hassenzahl, both of Muncie; brother, Sherman Bane (wife, Chintana) of Muncie; sisters, Nancy Glover (husband, Bob), Faith Sadler-Hankins (husband, David), Phyllis Jean Ralstin and Priscilla Glover (husband, Henry), all of Rushville, and Rosemary Paugh (husband, Charles) of Angola.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two bothers, Fred and Howard Bane; two brothers-in-law, Charles Ralstin and Cliffton (Tip) Sadler.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at Parson Mortuary in Muncie with the Rev. John Long officiating.

Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.

The Delaware County Honor Guard will provide military honors. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at Parson Mortuary.
