Catherine Alves-Gordon, 66, of Brockton, died Nov. 2, 2010. A native of Chicago, she was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School and was a paralegal for Legal Services. Catherine was instrumental in assisting many people with public housing issues. She enjoyed shopping and cooking. Catherine was the daughter of the late Robert Gordon and Helen Shelton; wife of the late John Alves; loving mother of Dwayne Alves and his wife Jeanne, John Alves Jr. and his wife Tracy and Kwania M. Gordon, all of Brockton; longtime companion of John Pritchett of Brockton; and the grandmother of Tiffiny Alves Revezzo, Jaymi Alves, Chantel Alves, Desiree Alves, Tiana Teixeira and Calvin Duncan III.
