Mrs. Ellen Neese, 76, Is Dead Here

Mrs. Ellen Neese, 76, a resident of Des Moines more than 40 years, died early today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bess Masterson, 825 Eighth st. A heart attack caused death.

Two sons and three daughters survive. They are J.R. Neese, 605 Virginia ave.; S.R. Neese, Omaha; Mrs. O.A. Grieser, 1358 Boyd ave.; Mrs. J.S. Higgins, Palm Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Masterson.

Mrs. Neese's husband died a year and a half ago.

MR. AND MRS. P. R. NEESE CELEBRATE ANNIVERSARY

On New Year's day, Mr. and Mrs. P.R. Neese, 523 Virginia avenue will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary by holding open house beginning at 4 o'clock, when all friends are invited to call. The couple were married in Hamilton county, Mrs. Neese being Miss Dorothy Ellen Adams before her marriage. They have been residents of Des Moines for thirty-five years.

They are the parents of five children, J.R, Neese, Mrs. J.S. Higgins, Mrs. O.A. Greiser, Mrs. Bess Masterson and S.R. Neese of Omaha, who will be here for the occasion. There are eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
