Doris Ethel Buhrman Snyder, age 83, of Sebring, FL passed away July 1, 2004 in Sebring. She was born Nov. 12, 1920, to George Asbury Buhrman and Annie Ethel (Slusser) Buhrman, in Eagle Rock, Botetourt County, VA. She had been a resident of Sebring since 1987, coming from Ft. Myers, FL and formerly Mint Springs and Waynesboro VA. She was a retired high school teacher and counselor, member of the Colonial Trails Chapter of S.W. Virginia Genealogical Society, Colonial Dames XVII, and Emmanuel United Church of Christ. She is survived by Duane Snyder, her husband of 57 years, Duane W. Snyder of Sebring; daughters Georgia Ann Snyder of Boulder, CO, and Constance H. Snyder of Culpepper, Va.; sister Virginia Craft of Roanoke, and two nieces and two great-nephews.
Her memorial services were held Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at 11:00 am at the Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Sebring, FL with the Rev. Barbara Laucks, her close friend and pastor, officiating. Burial of remains will be at a later date.
