Prominent Farmer Archie Nelson Rites Held Tues -

Archie Edward Nelson, son of W. F. and Martha E. Nelson, was born February 2, 1898 in Greeley County, Nebraska. He departed this life on April 28, 1963 at the St. Paul memorial Hospital in St. Paul, Nebraska at the age of 65 years, two months and 26 days. He received his education in the rural schools near Wolbach. He was united in marriage to Carrie A. Hansen on January 14, 1919 at St. Paul, Nebraska. They settled on a farm northeast of Wolbach, in the Star Community where they spent their entire married life.

Five children were born to this union, they are: one son, Reed E. of Alliance, Neb; four daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Madison of Arcadia, California, Mrs. Lois Berney of Higginsville, Missouri, Mrs. Audrey Patton of Palos Verdes, California; and Mrs. Ardyce Noonan of Lexington, Nebr.

He was baptized and a faithful member of the Methodist Church of which he served as an official board member for a number of years. He also served as a board member of School District 25 for over 30 years, and was a board member of the Farmers Co-op Elevator, Creamery and Oil Associations.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Carrie; his five children, eight grandchildren; a brother, John Nelson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Ann Druliner of Tucson, Arizona; and a host of friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents and an infant sister.
