Martin, GA - Joe Arthur Grace, age 88, formerly of Jackson, TN, died Sunday, March 28, 2010 in Toccoa, GA.
Born in Jackson on March 26, 1922, he was the son of the late James Arthur Grace and Lena May Baker. He was the retired owner of Grace Garage in Jackson, TN.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Jones Grace; his brother, Douglas Lavon Grace and his son, James Gordon Grace.
Survivors include brother, E. Noble Grace, Jackson, TN; sisters, Mary Earlene Grace Collins, Jackson, TN, Ramelle Grace Holder, Huntsville, AL and Joan Grace McGuire, Paris, TN; children, Gary J. Grace, Martin, GA, Jesse A. Grace, Bean Station, TN and Wanda M. Grace Reed, Tampa, FL; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in England during World War II and was a member of East Trinity United Methodist Church in Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Arrington Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Highland Memorial Gardens.
