Joan McGuire, 76, of Paris died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at her residence.

She was married on on Aug. 2, 1948, to John William McGuire, who survives.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

John Holcomb and Mike Wimberley will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Chosen as pallbearers are Alex Joyner, Jerry Joyner, Paul Cavin, Brandon Holder, Russ Holder and Mark Holder.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today.

Born March 13, 1934, in Jackson, she was a daughter of the late James Arthur Grace and Jewell Kathryn Kirkland Grace.

McGuire was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She worked for more than 10 years at Mitchum Co., and for more than five years at Holley carburetor plant.

She also leaves one son: Gerald Wayne (Jennifer) McGuire of Jackson; two sisters: Ramelle (Clinton) Holder of Huntsville, AL, and Earlene Collins of Jackson; one brother: Noble Grace of Jackson; two grandchildren: Ann (Paul) Cavin of Chattanooga and Melody McGuire of Medina; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers: Joe Arthur Grace and Lavon Grace.
