MIAMI – Graveside services for Robert E. Carr, 80, who died Monday in Gila General Hospital, will be conducted 4:30 p.m. today in Pinal Cemetery.
Mr. Carr born in Georgia April 27, 1875, had lived in Arizona 55 years. He came to Miami three months ago from Yuma.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Watson, Miami, and Mrs. Marjorie House, Republic, Mo., and several nephews and nieces.
NEVER MARRIED
In 1883, Joseph G Hester compiled a roll of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, those Cherokee who remained east after the Trail of Tears. Enrollees lived primarily in North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama.
