MRS. JOHN JOHNSON DIES NEAR TOCSIN
PASSES AWAY AT HOME OF SON - FUNERAL TO BE HELD MONDAY

Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson, 80, an esteemed citizen of the Tocsin community, died at the home of her son, Otto Johnson, of near Tocsin, early this morning. Death was due to Bright's disease and a broken hip which she suffered about thirteen weeks ago.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Tuscarawas county, Ohio, March 12, 1848, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Archbold. She came to the Tocsin community with her parents when but eighteen months old and had since resided there.

John H. Johnson, her husband, died about twelve years ago and since then she had made her home with her son Otto.

She was a member of the Emmaus M. E. church.

Five sons were born to their union, three of whom are living. They are Marcellus Johnson of Battle Creek, Mich.; Samuel Johnson, of South Bend; Otto Johnson of near Tocsin; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Three sisters, Mrs. Rachel Ashcroft, of east of Tocsin; Malinda Todd, of near Tocsin; and Mrs. George Engle, of Ft. Wayne.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home of her son, Otto Johnson, in charge of the Rev. George Snider.
