Catherine Yarger, daughter of Joseph and Elwila Archbold, was born in Cuyahoga county , Ohio, Dec. 25th, 1840, and died January 4th, 1905, aged sixty-four years and ten days. She was united in marriage to Samuel Yarger January, 1860. To this union were born seven children, two sons and five daughters, all of which are still living and all are married expect one son, the youngest and all attended the funeral except one daughter who was kept away on the account of affliction.

She united with the M. E. church twenty years ago and remained a member until death. She was a kind loving wife and affectionate mother and a good neighbor. She will be greatly missed by her family. She leaves an aged companion, seven children, twenty-seven grandchildren, one brother, six sisters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss but their loss is her gain. Three brothers and two sisters have preceded her in the spirit world. She was greatly afflicted for three years but bore it with patience and Christian fortitude. When the call came she was ready to go. Funeral services were held at Tocsin conducted by Rev. H. C. Smith. Interment at Elhanah.

The family take this method to extend their thanks to the neighbors for their kindness in the sickness and death of their loved one.

***On October 24, 1912, Mrs. Yarger was reburied at Prairie View.
