Mrs. Jennie Rhoda, wife of Jerry Rhonda died of Pneumonia at 10:30 o'clock Thursday night at the family home two miles south of Lafayette on the Fourth street road, rural route 7. She had been in failing health for several years and seriously ill for three weeks.
The daughter of Lewis and Catherine Blelkins she was born in Holland, August 4, 1860 abd came to America at the age of nine. Her first husband was John Mullenkoph (correct spelling Mollenkopf) who
died in 1894. She married Mr. Rhoda in 1895. Besides the husband she leaves two sons John Mullenkoph of West Point and Alfred Rhoda at home also two stepsons James and George Rhoda and seven grandchildren. She was a member of teh First Reformed church.
Funeral servics will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home and at 2:30 from the church, Rev Marion Nollen officiating. Buried in Spring Vale. Friends may call at the home after 3 o'clock Friday afternoon.
