Daniel C. McAleese was born at Bellevue, Ia., October 18, 1847, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jess Myers in Shenandoah, Iowa., Sunday morning, June 3, 1922 of pneumonia. Mr. McAleese and family were residents of Fairmont and vicinity for many years. His wife died here October 4, 1891, and he removed from Fairmont about twenty-seven years ago. he leaves five daughters and three sons. One daughter, Mrs. C.W. Robinson, resides in Fairmont. The body arrived here Monday evening on No. 3, accompanied by his son-in-law, Jess Myers. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Catholic church, Father Healy of Grafton officiating; interment being made in the Catholic cemetery beside his wife.
