It was here also that she met Charles W. Robinson. They were married August 13, 1892. One son, Dr. Charles C. Robinson of Silver City, N.M., was born to this union.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of the local chapter, Mt. Moriah No.38, of the Eastern Star lodge and was active in its work. She also was an honored member of the local P.E.O. chapter. The ladies aide of the Methodist church was another of her large interests. During the World war she was intensely engaged in Red Cross work, having 2,7pp hours of Red Cross service to her credit at the war's conclusion.
Having lived here son long, she gained a large circle of close friends. These appreciated her as a woman of culture and refinement, a lover of flowers and a good neighbor and a kind friend. She was a faithful wife and a loving mother and greatly enjoyed her family life.
Mrs. Robinson had been in poor health the last year. The fore part of January, her condition became very serious and she was taken to a Lincoln hospital. Relief was only temporary, and after several weeks illness there, she passed away February 16, 1940.
The close relatives surviving Mrs. Robinson are her husband, son and wife, two grandsons, Robert and James; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Horneday of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Mrs. Margaret Costello of Lincoln, Nebraska. Her many friends join with these in their grief at the death of this good woman.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 19, at the Fairmont Methodist church, Rev. Robert L. Embree officiating. A quartet compose of Oliver Moul, Mrs. Charles Little, Mrs. Mable Quinlan and Wayne Nichols sang "Lead Kindly Light." Mrs. A.A. Ashby being accompanist. Wayne Nichols also sang "Crossing the Bar." Pallbearers were William Gravatt, Herman Brown, Francis Schepers, Floyd Abbott, Ed Hall and George W. Porter. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery.
