William "Bill" Jacob Schweikhard, age 79 of Neodesha, Kansas died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at the Golden Keys Nursing Home in Neodesha, Kansas.

Bill was born October 25, 1923 in Wichita, Kansas to Christian Henry and Mamie Lola Pearl (Kibbie) Schweikhard. He grew up in Wichita, Kansas and attended school there.

On April 27, 1962 Bill married Mildred Jean Stevens in Ratone, New Mexico. They made their home in Dodge City, Kansas. Bill was in the Service Industry for many years.

Survivors include four daughters Carole Anderson of Neodesha, Kansas, Judy Schweikhard of Parsons, Kansas, Ruth Belnap of Garden City, Kansas and Wanda Schweikhard of Chanute, Kansas, one son Cecil Schweikhard of Summerville, Florida, two sisters Lucy Blair of Delta, Colorado and Grace Elmore of El Dorado, Kansas; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003 at the Neodesha Cemetery with Dave Cheshier officiating under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home.

Visitation hours will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2003 and from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2003 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home.
