Ray, of Leslie passed away at home under the loving care of his family and hospice on Thursday. He was the son of Ira and Blanche (Behm) Blank. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Laura (Woodman); daughters, Valerie (Carl) Meirndorf and Marcia (Eugene) Kral; granddaughter, Laurie Meirndorf; grandson, Fred Meirndorf; brother, Arthur (Loretta) Blank; sister, Ann (Jerry) Hartley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Rosella Mutz French, Laurene Parsons, Iris Griffin and Lottie Taylor. Ray graduated from the Leslie High School in 1944. He also served in the U.S. Army in Greenland; was a Boy Scout Master; Master of Masonic Lodge in Leslie; past treasurer of the Leslie School Board. Ray retired from the U.S. Post Office in Onondaga as a rural mail carrier and was also an electrical contractor.

Visitation:
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 to 1 p.m.

Service:
A memorial service remembering Ray's life will be held at the J.C. Adams Funeral Home, Leslie Chapel, on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. According to Ray's wishes cremation has taken place.
