KINGSVILLE — Leroy C. Braden, age 74, of Creek Road, Kingsville, Ohio, died Saturday morning, Aug. 18, 2007, at his home, following a lengthy illness.

Born Dec. 1, 1932, in Monroe Township, Ohio, he had resided in Conneaut for 31 years prior to moving to Kingsville two years ago, and was the son of Clarence E. and Lena E. (Whiting) Braden. Mr. Braden retired in 1972 after 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, having served in Korea and Vietnam.

Following his retirement from the Service, he was employed as a bus driver with the Conneaut School System for 18 years, and had also worked for Crawford Container for a time.

Mr. Braden was a member of the American Legion Cowle Post #151 and the Conneaut Moose Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, both locally and in Tionesta, Pa.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Doris (Meek) Braden; four daughters, Cissy Brooks (Rick Berthoud) of Pine Mountain Club, Calif., Sherry Braden of Palmdale, Fla., Janice Braden of California, and Tina Braden (Gary King) of Dale City, Va.; two sons, Jim (Rose Marie) Braden of Rocklin, Calif., and Dale Scott "Butch" (Liz) Braden of Omaha, Nev.; two step-daughters, Cheryl (Craig) Bancroft of Kingsville, Ohio, and Brenda Ensman of Williamstown, N.J.; a step-son, Keith C. Hayes of N. Kingsville, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Goldie (Dick) Renn of Conneaut, Ohio; three brothers, Russell (Arlene) Braden of Kingsville, Ohio, and Clair (Barb) Braden and Robert (Barb) Braden, all of Monroe Twp., Ohio; and his brother-in-law, Billie Adams of Conneaut, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Millie Adams; three brothers, Ernie Braden, and Don and Eugene, in infancy; and a step-grandson, Christopher Michael Hayes.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio. Burial will be in Kelloggsville Cemetery, Monroe Township, with full Military Rites.

Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
