Local Widow Dies
Of Heart Trouble


Mrs. Louise Pennington, age 73, succumbed at 4:30 a.m. today at her home on Moore Creek, Rural Route three, after an illness of several months with heart trouble. She was the widow of Samuel Pennington, who died in April 1927.

Eight children, all living in Monroe county, survive Mrs. Pennington. They are Desmond Pennington, William C. Pennington, Mrs. John Jones, Annie Pennington, Mrs. Harry Chitwood, J. G. Pennington, Fred Pennington, and Mrs. Allen Bennett. Mrs. Rebecca Knight, Knight Ridge road, is a sister. There are also 12 grandchildren.

The Rev. A. W. Harvey will be in charge of the funeral services to be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Knight Ridge church. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Hymns to be sung at the service are "Going Down the Valley," "No Disappointment in Heaven" and "No Night There."

Rites Thursday


Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Knight Ridge church for Mrs. Louisa Pennington, age 73, who died early Tuesday at her home on Moores Creek. Elder A. W. Harvey will be in charge of the rites.

Pallbearers will be Edward Bender, Clinton Vaughn, Ralph Stipp, Aquella Baxter, Roscoe Breedlove and Walter Butcher. Flower bearers will be Violet Breedlove, Goldie Pennington, Mildred Wells and Doris Pennington.

Mrs. Leslie Peters will be in charge of the music. Interment will be in the Knight Ridge cemetery.
