Mrs. Pearl Jones, 78, of 235 Church Lane, died Monday at Bloomington Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Monroe County, she was the daughter of Samuel Pennington and the former Louisa Carter and a member of the West Second Street Church of Christ. Survivors are the husband John; two sisters, Mrs. Muriel Bennett and Mrs. Leafa Chitwood, both of Bloomington; three brothers, J.G., Fred and Desmond all of Bloomington. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Day Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Benton and the Rev. Mel Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Creek cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 p.m. today.
