Church records from Canada show that Peter Befus is the father of six sons that are listed as Johannes Befus (1871-1949), Peter Befuss(1876-1941), Alexander Befus (1878-1958), Heinrich Befus (1883-1967), Georg Befus (1887-1934), and Konrad Befus (1892-1960). All of these brothers came to the United States and settled in Colorado. George Befus' obituary states that there was one sister that stayed in Russia.
