Douglas L. Martin, 57, of Red Lion, died Thursday, October 28, 2010, at York Hospital, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2010, at Emanuel United Methodist Church, 40 S. Main St., Loganville. Officiating at the service will be his pastor the Rev. Terry L. Leckrone. Burial will be the church cemetery. Viewings will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Mr. Martin was born January 29, 1953, in York, and was a son of M. Louise (Van Horn) Martin of Loganville and the late Lewis Martin. Douglas graduated from Dallastown Area High School in the Class of 1970 and attended the Wilma Boyd Airline School in Pittsburgh. He retired this past March from Pepsico in Harrisburg, where he was employed as a sales manager for over 32 years. He also owned and operated the former 18th Century Shop in the Olde Toll Gate Village Center for many years and had recently obtained his Real Estate License and was employed by Prudential/Bob Yost Real Estate in the Dallastown Office. He was a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church, Loganville. Besides his mother, he leaves a sister, Darla K. Martin of Princeton, N.J.; two brothers, Daniel R. Martin of Loganville and Duane A. Martin of Dallastown; a niece and nephews; and great-nieces and a great-nephew. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald W. Martin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 484, 40 S. Main St., Loganville, PA 17342; or to the American Cancer Society , 924N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
