ALLONS - Funeral services for Edmond E. (Edd) Borden, 74, of Allons will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 12 noon at Speck Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. Brother Marlon Winningham will officiate. Burial will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery in Cookeville.

Mr. Borden died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a retired building contractor and farmer.

He was born October 31, 1924, in Clay County to the late Leslie Borden and Avo Swann Borden.

His family includes his wife, Olyne Borden of Allons; sons Russell Borden of Cookeville and Jerry Borden and Terry Borden of Allons; daughter Linda Faye Van Pelt of Spartanburg, S.C.; and eight grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Borden.

Speck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
