JOHN D. MALAN OF OGDEN DIES

John Daniel Malan died at 12:50 o'clock Thursday morning at the family residence, 2260 Lincoln avenue, following a short illness of heart trouble. He was born in Ogden on Sept. 10, 1860, and had lived in Ogden practically all his life. He was a son of John and Elizabeth Cole Malan. His wife, Mary E. Malan, died in Ogden on Oct. 17, 1928. The following children survive: Mrs. George Tillett, Bee Spencer, Martin and Harry Malan of Ogden; Milton Malan, Los Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Florence Bartlett, San Francisco; Mrs. Eva Henline, and Robert Malan of Magna, Utah; also the following brother and sisters; Charles Malan and Mrs. Lucy Roudebush, Ogden, and Mrs. Laura Hotelling, of Long Beach Cal.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Lindquist & Sons funeral parlors, with Bishop E.T. Saunders of the Fourth ward presiding. Friends may call at the funeral chapel today and also on Saturday until hour of funeral. Interment will be made in the Ogden City cemetery.
