COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Mazola Fox Anderson, 86, will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9
p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Anderson died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008.
She was born Aug. 4, 1922, to the late Willie Oakley and Mattie Billingsley Fox.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of Willow Avenue Church of Christ.
Her family includes a son and daughterinlaw, Ron and Gail Anderson of Estill Springs; a daughter and soninlaw, Kathy and Richard Birdwell of Cookeville; a sister, Evelyn Flatt of Baxter; four brothers, Huston and J.C. Fox, both of Bloomington Springs, Truman Fox of Cookeville and Junior Fox of Old Hickory; six grandchildren, Jeff Anderson of Tullahoma, Rhonda Stanfill of Bartlett, Hunter Anderson of Estill Springs and Danny and Brian Birdwell and Jill Birdwell Marsee, all of Cookeville; and eight greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loid Anderson; a sister, Esteen Flatt; and two brothers, William Collie and Aaron Fox.
