Catherine Isabella Lee was the youngest child of John and Ruth Dearborn Lee. She was born on the 21st day of October, 1861, in Boone County, Kentucky. She was just a baby, months old, when the family moved across the Ohio River and settled in Rising Sun, Indiana.
Catherine was only 8 months old when her father went away to war. She never knew him as he was killed in action in 1864.
She was a young girl, 14 years 11 months, when she married Lancelot Granger Dewey, 11 years her senior. They were married in Ohio County on the 22nd day of August, 1876.
She died on the 7th day of May, 1878. Just a mere 16 years 7 months old.
