Funeral Service were held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in DeRidder, Pastor Alan Knuckles officiated. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in DeRidder.
Survivors include; Daughter, Becky Travis and husband Charles of DeRidder; Son, Rev. Jim Miers and wife Darlene of DeRidder; Brother Clayton Cryar and wife Patty of Gillis, LA; Sister, Juanice Peterson and husband Pete of Holland, MI; 7 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Abner E. Miers; Son, Randall Miers, and her parents; Eunice Harrison and Verda Shirley Harrison Cryar.
Louise was the 1st Secretary for the Baptist Association in Beauregard Parish. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in DeRidder and worked at Fort Polk for many years in clerical positions.
