Death notice from Lincoln Star 23 Apr 1943
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Martin F. Michels, who passed away Sunday. He was 78 years old. Rev. M. Q. Stephenson conducted the service from the Presbyterian Church (in Fairbury) and burial was in the Fairbury (Pleasant Hill) Cemetery.
Mr. Michels had been engaged in farming all his life, living with his brothers and sisters.
Surviving are 3 brothers: Gerd & John Michels, both of Fairbury and George Michels of Diller, 4 sisters: Mrs. Marie Junker and Mrs. Anna Seggerman both of Fairbury, Mrs. Minnie Mintzmeyer of Orleans and Mrs. Charlotte Wiltfang of Stillman Valley, IL
