MIAMI, N.M. - Jose Alfonso Nolan St., 99, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, in Clayton.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Springer. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday in the church with the Rev. Emmanuel Izuka as celebrant. Burial will be in Springer Cemetery in Springer. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Mr. Nolan was born June 12, 1911, in Los Escondida near Wagon Mound to Philadelfo and Emilia Cruz Nolan. He was a good husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Survivors include a daughter, Edith Priscilla Burnett of Boise City, Okla.; four sons, Jose A. Nolan Jr., Paul Nolan and Albert Nolan, all of Miami, N.M., and Charles Nolan Sr. of Boise City; four sisters, Julia Sanchez of Cimarron, Lafie Lopez of Espanola, Helen Garitson and Vera Montoya, both of Springer; three brothers, Mike Nolan of Wichita, Kan., Phil Joe Nolan and George Nolan, both of California; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
