Gary E. Chittick, 53, of rural Webster, formerly of the North English and South English communities, died of cancer Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, in University Hospitals, Iowa City. Services: 2 p.m. Friday, English Valley High School, North English, by the Rev. John Whalen. Burial: St. Patrick Little Creek Cemetery near Kinross. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Powell Funeral Home, North English, where a wake service begins at 7 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine; two sons, Dennis of Kalona and Darin of Williamsburg; a daughter, DeLisa of Iowa City; his mother, Ellen of South English; and 16 brothers and sisters, Lavonne Brawner of Arroyo Grande, Calif., Donna Cross and Jack Chittick, both of Cedar Rapids, Rose Wilcox of Delta, Sanford, Dale, Stanley and Robert Chittick and Kay Trimpe, all of Williamsburg, Ronald Chittick of Hedrick, Marlene Erie of Mount Vernon, Ruth Coulter of Carthage, Ill., James Chittick of South English, Linda Martin of Sigourney, Annette Yoder of Sulley and Dan Chittick of Iowa City.
