Ronald Dean Chittick, 52, of rural Hedrick died Nov. 25, 1998 at his home.
He was born Oct. 14, 1946, in Keswick to Everett and Ellen Wade Chittick. He married Lisa Fair on Oct. 22, 1983, in Keota.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a welder by Ray-Man Inc. of Keota.
He is survived by his mother; his wife; three sons, Charles, Harold, and Buddy; a daughter Crystal; seven brothers, Sandy, Dale, and Stanley of Williamsburg, Jack of Cedar Rapids, Jim of South English and Dan of Iowa City; and eight sisters, Lovonne Brawner of California, Donna Cross of Cedar Rapids, Rose Wilcox of Delta, Marlene Frasher of Anamosa, Ruth Coulter of Carthage, Ill. Kay Trimpe of Williamsburg, Linda Martin of Sigourney and Annette Yoder of Sully.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother Gary.
The service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Ollie Baptist Church in Ollie. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery near Ollie.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont.
Casketbearers will be Charlie Chittick, Mike and Jeff Fair, Delbert Conger, Dan Mahan and Jack Ingle.
Honorary bearers will be his children and his brothers
A memorial has been established.
He was first married to Carol Chittick. They had 3 children Robert, Tammy and Ronald Jr.
