Joseph Awerdick, Jr. World War veteran, passed away at 8 o'clock this morning at the veterans' home at Milwaukee following a long illness. He was 35 (39) years of age, having been born in this city, Sept 19, 1893 (90). He spent most of his life in Oshkosh but served overseas during the World War, being wounded in action. He returned to the hospital at Milwaukee New Years where he had previously been confined and had been there since that time.
He is survived by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Awerdick, 108 Plymouth avenue. The remains are to be brought to this city for burial and are expected to arrive Wednesday. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
