Mary Lou Banda, 78, died October 24, 2010. She was born May 20, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Turley Horrace Miller and Evelyn (Cochran) Miller. She retired from Hormel Frozen Foods.
Our Mom wore many hats and had many names ~ Mom, Grandma, Sister, Bob, Aunt Mary Lou, and sometimes just Banda. All of those hats, and all of those names were given to our mother out of love, respect and friendship with the knowledge that those virtues would be returned unconditionally.
Preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Manuel J. Banda, she is survived by her four children, Manuel J. Banda, Jr., Diannie Goodner and husband Dewey, Teresa Foss and husband Don, April Wright and husband Kurt; grandchildren, Jennifer Banda, Donnie Goodner, Nicole Bryant, Jessica Banda, Kody Wright; great-grandchildren, Teeka Smith, Nicholas Banda, Ruby Bryant and Buck Bryant.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2:00 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Spring Creek Cemetery.
